Luxury Home Photography

I've recently been asked to do a lot of real estate photos and it's something I have found to be very interesting. A lot of the homes I have taken photos of are in the same neighborhood where I live, so I already knew a lot of the owners. There are a lot of homes in my neighborhood and they cover a significant price range. As a part of this experience I met a builder that needed photography of the some of the homes his company had previously built, for his new website. He made the phone calls to the owners of the homes and set up the appointments for me to take the photos. I was impressed that all of the folks that had bought a custom home from him were extremely complimentary about his work. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to see and photo these fabulous homes. His new website is http://www.owensspecialtybuilders.com/. Check it out and leave me a comment or critique as I am always interested in how I can improve my work.
You can also see a lot more of the homes I have photographed at http://www.lowcountryphotos.com/

Websites for the Non-Technical Artist

Websites for the Non-Technical Artist

I am currently on the board of Seacoast Artist Guild of South Carolina and we currently have nearly 250 active artists. From my observations, most artists are not at all technical. That is not necessarily true all of the time, but appears to be true at least most of the time. Because most of our artists are non-technical, I have had a lot of requests for help with websites. This past summer, a friend told me about the websites for artists available using Fine Art America. I checked it out, liked what I saw and put a website together for myself. The name is www.lowcountryart.org and I have been pleased with the activity so far. I have sold several images and everything seems to be working very well. For just $30 a year, it's really a deal that's hard to beat.

With all of that being said, I put together a class for any artists that may be interested in very detailed step-by-step instructions on how to build your own website using the Fine Art America platform. My instructions include pages of notes explaining what is required each step of the way. I will also help you understand how to make sure your artwork images are of the quality required to make sales.

For comments from a few of the artists from the first class click here: http://www.lowcountryphotos.com/Events/Website-Design-Class/

If you think you may be interested or if there are suggestions on things you think should be included in this class, please go to: http://www.mike-covington.com/training_request.htm
